Healthy, vigorous, and doing well
by csontvary, August 12, 2020

Ordered a specimen directly through Monrovia's website for delivery to my local nursery. Was unsure given that I wouldn't be able to select from amongst several choices, but gave it a try anyway. When pickup day arrived -- about a 10 day wait -- I was pleasantly met by a somewhat large (5 - 6ft), very healthy, well filled out specimen. (In a nice pot too.). I gave it a couple of days to acclimate in my yard (5200ft elevation; USDA zone 8a). After that I planted it. It's now been about 4 weeks and the plant has been growing strong and quickly and has found purchase on the cinderblock wall I planted it against. I am very pleased with the plant and my purchase.

No Regrets!

I've had issues with trumpet vine in the past... even though it's native to my area, it's a bit aggressive. Tired of pulling it out of places it shouldn't be I looked for an alternative. I was delighted to hear that Crossvine has all of the beauty of trumpet vine, but is more well mannered. My plant arrived healthy and seemingly happy. She is in the ground now busy putting down deep roots and I am looking forward to what she has in store for the future. :)
