Attractive buff-colored peeling bark is a wonderful backdrop for yellow fall color. An impressive specimen often grown as a clump of several trunks. Thrives in moist areas. Considered to be more resistant to borers than the European white birch, and one of the most adaptable and heat tolerant of the birches. Deciduous.

I purchased this tree last week. Among all the flowering beauties this tree caught and kept my attention. Still young the park is peeling off the four trunks. It is swaying now in my side yard on a lake and I love it! It is truly a stately beauty. Thank you
