Cool autumn temperatures bring a brilliant flush of fall color to the finely textured, glossy green foliage and highly ornamental red berries. Design Ideas: This Cotoneaster gives a beautiful herringbone effect against a white wall or fence. Don't try to prune into a shape or it will lose its striking silhouette. Also excellent in rockeries where sprays of branches will arch out over the slope.

Thrives in average to poor, well-drained soils. Space 4 to 5 ft. apart as groundcover; mulch to control weeds until plants fill in. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates drought in cooler climates. Fertilize in early spring. Prune as needed to shape.

Doing well except this morning I discovered one that looked thirsty and found the emitter was partially blocked. Getting plenty of water now.
