Cornus sericea 'Kelseyi'

Item 4470

There are very few rules in gardening, but perhaps the most important one is to work within your zone. Choosing plants that grow and thrive in your particular climate is the very first step toward having a beautiful garden. Learn more >

USDA Zone:
This plant will grow in my zone:
  • Light Needs
    Full sun to Partial sun
  • Watering Needs
Water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil - weekly, or more often.

A dwarf dogwood with a low, compact form and lush green foliage that perfectly foils less attractive bases of larger shrubs. Its neat, rounded shape works well in mass plantings and border foundations. Excellent for erosion control on steep slopes. Bare red stems provide striking seasonal color to dormant winterscapes. Deciduous.

Bright and beautiful
by Beth, April 30, 2017

This plant came very very beautiful with full dense foliage. Once in the ground it took off and has seemed really happy in full sun. Looks just like the online photos.

Plants arrived in less time than estimated and were planted about three days after I picked them up. They were healthy when I brought them home and are doing great in the ground

Dwarf Red-twigged dogwood growing strong
by Dale, June 23, 2016

Buying 3 dwarf red-twigged Dogwood plants from Monrovia was my first online plant purchase, and it was an excellent experience. The plants arrived sooner than I expected at a nursery I had not been to before. They called, I made a fieldtrip out of the pickup, which was without any problems. Now the 3 are growing strong in my garden. Well done! Thanks!
