Plant the crown at soil level in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. After harvesting, remove old leaves with hand shears. Leave the crown and new leaves untouched to allow sunlight into the center of the plant. Feed again at mid-season.

History

A day-neutral strawberry that patented (since expired) by UC Berkeley in California, as F. 'CN7' in 1980, originally bred and tested as Cal. 69.141-101 in the 1970's at UC Davis, also in California. Ideal for coastal Southern California as a fall harvest after a summer planting.
