Design Ideas: This snow white daisy bearing perennial is a natural in almost every garden application as a cut flower. Add to foundating planting for easy care color. Flesh out beds and borders without relief or neutral colors. An essential of the cottage garden with other casual easy care perennials. Though wholly of garden origin it is strongly aligned with the perennials of the American prairie and belongs in beds and meadows with them. Super with native plants and naturalizes beautifully in wild gardens, even in dry western climates. Highbrow enough to use in estate settings and massed into formal beds bounded by box hedges were they literally leap out under a full moon.

Provide average, well-drained soil; will not thrive in soggy soils. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates mild to moderate drought. Remove spent blooms to encourage continuous bloom. For a tidy appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge.

Shasta Daisy is one of the most famous of all Burbank introductions which has naturalized all over America and no doubt further evolved on its own through natural variation within its seed.
