Item 068812

There are very few rules in gardening, but perhaps the most important one is to work within your zone. Choosing plants that grow and thrive in your particular climate is the very first step toward having a beautiful garden. Learn more >

USDA Zone:
Your zone may be too cold for this plant:
  • Light Needs
    Full sun to Partial sun
  • Watering Needs
Once established, water occasionally; more in extreme heat or containers.

Symmetrical rosettes of soft blue-tinged leaves are accented by ivory toothed margins. Spines emerge yellow, quickly transition to light brown, and mature to a light cinnamon brown. A rare, small selection from Japan, Kissho Kan makes an excellent specimen or container plant.
