Design Ideas: Sedge is a highly versatile plant for groundcover applications in small spaces or forest floor conditions.. Arrange in irregular masses for soft textured drifts through contrasting plants. May be lined up as an edging or planted on a grid for modern looks. Traditional in Asian and naturalistic style rock waterfall planting or around the edges of irregular pools and ponds. Even works well in containers as modernistic forms or mixed with colored foliage perennials.

Best with part shade in hot inland areas. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. For a neat appearance, cut back before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
