One of the showiest flowering shrubs for the dappled shade garden. Dense, mounding form with large leaves creates a wonderful presence as a foundation shrub or massed under trees. Flowers give way to glossy, inedible nuts (buckeyes). Foliage turns yellow in the fall. Deciduous.
